Student Historian Internship Program (Oct.-June)

Deadline is September 22nd

The Student Historian Internship Program runs from October 23, 2024 through June 11, 2025, every Wednesday, 4:30-7 pm.

Student Historians are high school-aged interns who use the resources of New-York Historical Society to conduct in-depth research and share their scholarship through the production of creative digital projects that serve as public educational resources. Interns meet with professional staff to learn about the museum, library, digital humanities, and history fields; and work collaboratively with fellow students to develop their historical thinking, communication, and digital media skills. The program involves substantial research and writing, allowing interns to deepen their understanding of American history and the digital humanities through academically rigorous, hands-on work. The historical theme of the internship is Our Composite Nation: Frederick Douglass’ America.

$700 stipend included

The application deadline is September 22, 2024.
